The Danville Children's Guild 2008 premier fundraising event
will be our third annual Sunday afternoon fashion show. Due
to the success of our previous two years' fashion shows, we
will once again feature local boutique's fashions, a silent
auction, vendor fair and luncheon. This year's event will be
held at Diablo Country Club, Sunday, October 5th. All
proceeds of our 2008 premier event will benefit Hospice of
the East Bay Comfort For Kids program.
Comfort for Kids provides comprehensive, in-home
healthcare and support for Bay Area children with life-limiting
illnesses. With 12 years of experience, Comfort for Kids is
respected as a leader in providing pediatric palliative and
hospice care in Northern California.

Spring Garage Sale - Another Success!!
This years annual spring garage sale was once again
another success. We had the most items for sale that
we've ever had. And with a lot of hard work it was the most
organized sale ever. We raised $3,000 for Girls, Inc. of
West Contra Costa County. Their mission is to provide
programs and experiences that help girls to become strong,
smart and bold. They have served thousands of West
County girls over the past 30 years. And all items that were
left over were given to The American Cancer Society.
Thanks to all who donated garage sale items to our effort
and all who spent the week raising money for this great
cause.
